After experiencing the loss of a family member last year I designed a memory card to be handed out at the memorial service. People received them with deep appreciation,
frequently commenting on the thoughtfulness and uniqueness of the card. People loved
that they had a tangible piece to hold onto that could easily fit into their photo albums.
Many cards were mailed overseas to family and friends unable to attend the service.
Creating this card helped me mourn my great-uncle’s passing. He had become like a
grandfather to me. I wept as I looked through family albums and selected photos of him
to display on the memory card. Remembering good moments we had shared made it
easier for me to process his being gone and caused me to further value the time I had
spent with him.
With this experience in mind, I dream of using my skills to bless others,
such as yourself, who are in the process of saying goodbye to a loved one.
